I create experiential artworks that begin with short, poetic instructions—simple yet evocative phrases designed to stir memory, emotion, and reflection. These instructions act as a kind of blueprint, not for fixed outcomes, but for open-ended responses shaped by each reader’s inner world and lived reality.

Like a musical score or a recipe, the work is only completed through interpretation and enactment. Inspired by the tradition of Instruction Art, I continue to explore how art can take shape through individual engagement, where each encounter becomes part of the piece itself. The works shared here are less about objects, and more about what emerges—gently, unexpectedly—between the artwork and the person engaging with it.

This approach is deeply informed by my resonance with the avant-garde movements of the 1960s—particularly Fluxus and conceptual art, with their emphasis on ideas, actions, and the ephemeral. Rather than privileging finished forms, I am drawn to moments of transformation and discovery: what shifts within a person, or between people, through a shared artistic encounter.
In today’s complex, multilayered world, we are increasingly called to reconsider our relationships—with others, with society, and with ourselves.
I believe art holds a quiet power to support this work: the power to imagine, to create, and to transmit (“そうぞう” in Japanese—a layered word embracing all three). Each instruction is a small invitation. Each response a seed for new understanding or dialogue. With that hope, I continue sending these works out into the world—one question at a time.

私は、短く詩的な「Instruction（問いかけ）」を出発点にした体験型の作品を制作しています。これらのインストラクションは、作品の設計図でありながら、読み手の記憶や日常に触れ、それぞれの内側から独自の応答が自然に立ち上がることを願って書かれています。

楽譜やレシピのように、一人ひとりの解釈と実践によって作品が完成する――インストラクション・アートの表現にインスパイアーされ、この可能性を探求し続けています。ここでご紹介する作品群は、どれも作品と人のあいだに生まれる気づきや体験を大切にしています。

この表現の背景には、1960年代の前衛芸術への深い共感があります。特にフルクサスやコンセプチュアル・アートに見られる、「アイデアや行為の重視」という精神・姿勢を受け継ぎながら、完成された「かたち」だけでなく、作品から人へ、そして人と人のあいだに生まれる変化や発見の瞬間を大切にする実践を続けています。
価値観が交錯し、複雑さを増す現代において、一人ひとりが自らの視点から社会や他者との関係を捉え直すことが求められています。アートには、そのための「そうぞう」の力──想像し、創造し、伝える力──を静かに引き出す可能性があると信じています。小さな問いかけから始まる体験が、やがて誰かの中で新たな気づきや対話へと育っていく。そんな循環を願いながら、これらの作品を世に送り出しています。
