Cut Piece

“Performer sits on stage with a pair of scissors in front of [her]. It is announced that members of the audience may come on stage—one at a time—to cut a piece of the performer’s clothing to take with them. Performer remains motionless throughout the piece. Piece ends at the performer’s option.”

STORY

As part of the exhibition "Grapefruit: Yoko Ono in 1964," celebrating the 40th anniversary of the publication of Grapefruit, I was invited to perform Yoko Ono's iconic work Cut Piece.

グレープフルーツ出版４０周年記念を祝す展覧会「Grapefruit: Yoko Ono in 1964」の一環として、オノ・ヨーコの代表作であるカット・ピースを演じた。
