STORY

Classic Radio Calisthenics is a collaborative project with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra that pairs Radio Taiso—a beloved Japanese morning exercise routine broadcast since 1928—with live string quartet performances. Launched at Roppongi Art Night 2017, the program takes place at sunrise in public spaces.

Each year's musical selections reflect the festival's theme and social context. The project invites participants to experience the "hidden side" of Roppongi—its everyday rhythms and temporal flows—through this embodied, participatory event.

クラシックなラジオ体操は、2017年の「六本木アートナイト」から始まった、日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団との共同プロジェクトです。ラジオ体操と弦楽四重奏の生演奏を組み合わせ、日の出に合わせた早朝の公共空間で実施しています。

毎年のテーマや社会状況を反映させた選曲を行い、六本木という街の"裏側"—日常生活や時間の流れ—を参加者とともに体験します。イベントを通じて、普段は見えない都市の様相を身体的に感じ取る参加型プロジェクトです。
