Teen Arts Council (TAC) was a leadership development program I developed and launched in 2006 under the Volunteer and Community Engagement Department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Through a paid apprenticeship structure, a diverse collective of teenagers from Greater Boston served as internal consultants—assessing operations and exhibitions, providing recommendations to administrative and curatorial staff, and designing and implementing demonstration projects for specific departments.

TAC's core premise was that teenagers' lived experiences, perspectives, and intellectual contributions held genuine value for the institution. Members were introduced to a wide range of museum professions while gaining real work experience—connecting the MFA with Boston's teens, families, and communities in ways the institution alone could not.
