Since 2001, I have been making collages from catalogs of building materials, moving supplies, and public signage—my favorite reading materials. Fragments cut from the page, arranged with tweezers and a magnifying glass. These works are a kind of diary: daily observations, memories of people met along the way, ideas that never came to fruition, feelings that resist words.

The small, the overlooked, the discarded. They have always caught my eye.

2001年から、愛読書でもある建築資材、梱包資材、公共サインなどの販売カタログからコラージュを制作し続けている。断片を切り取り、ピンセットと虫眼鏡で配置していく。これらの作品は日記のような存在でもあり、日々の気づき、出会った人々との記憶、実現できなかったアイデア、言葉では表せない思いを描写している。

小さくて、弱くて、見過ごされるもの。そういうものに、ずっと目が向く。
