STORY
“Do-It Yourself Fluxus” was an exhibition curated by Midori Yoshimoto, featuring an "abbreviated" reinstallation of a 1976 work by Fluxus performance artist Larry Miller—replicating nearly one quarter of the original. Filled with humor, the exhibition offered visitors a direct experience of Fluxus's distinctive charm.
As coordinator of the Do-It Yourself Fluxus Concert held as part of the exhibition, I also participated as a performer—re-enacting numerous instructional pieces in a true Fluxus concert environment, with no barriers between performers and participants.
「Do-It Yourself Fluxus」展は、キュレーター由本みどりによって企画された。フルクサス・パフォーマンスアーティストのラリー・ミラーが1976年に実施した展示のほぼ1/4を再現する縮小版を含む、ユーモアあふれるフルクサスの魅力が実体験できる充実した展覧会だった。
展覧会の一環として開催されたDIYフルクサスコンサートのコーディネートを務めながら、パフォーマーとしても参加した。演者と参加者の垣根のないフルクサスらしい環境の中で、数多くのインストラクション作品を再演した。
