STORY
Tsumugu Project was a community engagement initiative developed for NPO inVisible, launched in 2018 to mark the 15th anniversary of Roppongi Hills. Rooted in the concept of tsumugu—weaving connections between people, place, and art—I worked alongside artists across disciplines to build relationships among multigenerational participants with deep ties to the neighborhood.
Each program took its name from the artist's medium: wood, sound, food, storytelling, dialogue, dance. Through the lens of art, we held space for open, cross-generational exchange—reflecting on the neighborhood's past and imagining its future together.
The project ran through the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued until 2024.
つむぐプロジェクトは、NPO inVisibleのために開発し、2018年の六本木ヒルズ開業15周年を機に始めたコミュニティ・エンゲージメントの実践である。「人と人、人と街、人とアートを紡ぐ」をコンセプトに、多様な分野のアーティストとともに、この街にゆかりのある多世代の人々との関係づくりを重ねた。
「木、音、食、伝、話、舞」——アーティストのメディアを活動名に据えながら、街で生まれ育った人、暮らす人、働く人たちと交流を積み重ねた。アートの思考と視点を通じて、街の過去と未来を、異なる立場を超えて共に考えた。
活動はコロナ禍を経て、2024年まで続いた。
