STORY
Wonder Wander Laboratory is a participatory practice rooted in the lineage of Instruction Art following Fluxus, gently introducing subtle shifts and questions into our daily lives.
Gazing quietly at one's own breath trapped in a balloon. Asking a familiar kitchen tool whether it is female or male. By applying small constraints to familiar objects or routine gestures, the ordinary world begins to reveal entirely different layers of perception.
The venue was arranged with "8 instructions" inviting visitors to respond through their own bodies and intuition. A moment of pause, a hesitation, a quiet sense of wonder shared with a stranger—each fleeting occurrence joined together to give rise to a time of "sōzō" (where imagination, creation, and transmission of perception overlap) that could only exist right here, right now.
「そうぞうの居場所」は、フルクサス以降のインストラクション・アートの系譜を汲みながら、日常のなかにごくわずかな「揺らぎ」や「問い」を落とし込む参加型の実践である。
風船に閉じ込めた自分の息をじっと見つめてみること。普段使っている料理道具に「男か、女か」と問いかけてみること。見慣れたモノや何気ない動作にごく小さな制約を加えることで、いつもの日常はまったく異なる表情を見せはじめる。
会場には、訪れた人がそれぞれの身体や直感で応答するための「8つのインストラクション」を配置した。ふと立ち止まった瞬間に生まれる戸惑いや、見知らぬ誰かと共有する小さな驚き、そしてその一つひとつの出来事が結びつき、この場所、この瞬間にしか立ち現れない「そうぞう（想像・創造・送像）」の時間が生まれていった。
