STORY

Classic Radio Taiso is a collaborative project with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, pairing Radio Taiso—a beloved Japanese morning exercise routine broadcast since 1928—with live string quartet performances. Launched at Roppongi Art Night 2017, the program took place at sunrise in public spaces across the city.

Each year's musical selections reflected the festival's theme and social context. Through this embodied, participatory ritual, the project invited participants to experience the hidden side of Roppongi—its everyday rhythms and the quiet flow of time that the city rarely shows.|

クラシックなラジオ体操は、日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団との共同プロジェクトである。1928年から放送が続くラジオ体操と弦楽四重奏の生演奏を組み合わせ、2017年の六本木アートナイトを機に始まった。日の出に合わせた早朝の公共空間で実施した。

毎年のフェスティバルのテーマや社会状況を反映した選曲を行った。身体を通じた参加型の実践として、普段は見えない六本木の"裏側"——日常のリズムと、街が滅多に見せない静かな時間の流れ——を参加者とともに体験した。
